HĂśRNER's HWT 500 CS servo-operated workshop system is the end-to-end transformation of worksite technology into workshop systems.
The system has been developed in compliance with the so-called machinery directive 2006/42/EC as amended and allows making segments, tees, Y pieces and crosspieces in workable dimensions from O.D. 200 (160) through 500 mm | 6" - 20".
The welding system is set on a welded or a screwed-fast, heavy-duty, no-warp support frame and the bearings on which move both the horizontally traveling carriage and the heating element and facing tool assembly, are designed as precision-engineered and heavy load-bearing trapeze-shaped guides with precision-matched runner blocks.
It goes without saying that all parameters that are critical for a high-quality and reproducible welded joint are monitored throughout the process and saved to the memory of the system, which can hold up to 10,000 reports. Furthermore, all CNC systems are equipped with a USB interface to enable downloading the welding reports in the PDF format to a USB stick or sending them to the management database in the HĂśRNER DataWork Professional format. It is also possible to label a joint immediately for its quality by printing on plastic foil an indelible label tag with the available tag printer that will identify the fitting.

Derudover er alle CNC-systemer udstyret med USB-interface, så svejserapporter kan downloades som PDF til en USB-nøgle eller sendes til databasen i HÜRNER DataWork Professional-format.
Det er også muligt at mærke en samling med det samme for kvalitetssikring ved at udskrive en vejrbestandig etiket på plastfolie med den tilgængelige etiketprinter, som identificerer samlingen.

Både maskinens bevægelige vogn og konsollen, der bærer varmeelement og høvl, kører på præcisionskonstruerede, trapezformede føringssystemer med løbeblokke til tung belastning. Indføring af det PTFE‑belagte varmeelement foregår manuelt, nemt og ubesværet. Et pneumatisk stempel fjerner det hurtigt igen, så omstilling kan ske på under 4 sekunder. Høvlenheden indsættes og fjernes ligeledes automatisk.
De svingbare masterclamps på begge sider kan roteres op til 2 × 22,5° og har horisontal justering, som giver mulighed for kompensation ved fejljusteringer. Høvlen har en robust kædetrækmekanisme og kan indsættes og låses mellem rørenderne let og hurtigt takket være en gastrykcylinder. Temperaturstyring af varmeelementet og den servomotordrevne præcisionsstyring af svejsetrykket udføres i overensstemmelse med gældende standarder (DVS, UNI, WIS, NEN m.fl.). Alle kritiske svejseparametre overvåges under hele processen og gemmes i én af systemets 10.000 tilgængelige svejserapporter.
Maskinen leveres som standard med en højopløst farvetouchskærm til indtastning og visning af komponentdata og sporbarhedsoplysninger. HWT 500 CS kan benyttes fuldautomatisk som CNC‑system eller fuldmanuelt via Manual Welding Cockpit, hvilket giver maksimal fleksibilitet i værkstedsanvendelser.
En unik funktion er brugerstyring via RFID, som giver sikker og nem dataindtastning som alternativ til traditionel stregkodelæsning og pen. En scanner kan stadig tilvælges. HĂśRNER's HWT 500 CS servo-controlled workshop system is the complete transition from workplace technology to workshop systems. The system was developed in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC with later amendments and enables the production of segments, T-pieces, Y-pieces and cross-pieces in manageable dimensions from outside diameter 200 (160) to 500 mm | 6" - 20".
The welding system is mounted on a welded or screwed, strong and dimensionally stable frame. The bearings, on which both the horizontally movable carriage and the heating element as well as the planer move, are designed as precision-made and heavily loadable trapezoidal guides with precisely adapted running blocks.
All parameters that are essential for a high-quality welding and uniformity are monitored throughout the process and stored in the system's memory, which can contain up to 10,000 reports.
In addition, all CNC systems are equipped with USB interface, so welding reports can be downloaded as PDF to a USB key or sent to the database in HĂśRNER DataWork Professional format.
It is also possible to label an assembly immediately for quality assurance by printing a weatherproof label on plastic film with the available label printer which identifies the assembly.
HÜRNER HWT 500 CS is a servo‑-powered workshop technology system for the production of PE, PE 100 RC, PP and PVC‑U, PVC‑C pipes, segment bends and fittings, equipped with narrow aluminum masterclamps in metric design. The machine is designed to be able to process pipes and segments up to OD 500 mm with any SDR‑ ratio up to SDR 9. The system was developed under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC with a welded and bolted, extra strong support frame designed to withstand torsion.
Both the machine's movable carriage and the console, which carries a heating element and planer, run on precision-engineered, trapezoidal guidance systems with running blocks for heavy loads. Insertion of the PTFE‑-coated heating element takes place manually, easily and effortlessly. A pneumatic piston quickly removes it again, so switching can take place in less than 4 seconds. The planer unit is also inserted and removed automatically.
The swivel masterclamps on both sides can be rotated up to 2 × 22.5° and have horizontal adjustment, which allows for compensation in case of misalignments. The planer has a robust chain drive mechanism and can be inserted and locked between the pipe ends easily and quickly thanks to a gas pressure cylinder. Temperature control of the heating element and the servo-motor-driven precision control of the welding pressure are carried out in accordance with applicable standards (DVS, UNI, WIS, NEN and others). All critical welding parameters are monitored throughout the process and stored in one of the system's 10,000 available welding reports.
The machine comes standard with a high-resolution color touchscreen for entering and displaying component data and traceability information. The HWT 500 CS can be used fully automatically as a CNC‑ system or fully manually via the Manual Welding Cockpit, which provides maximum flexibility in workshop applications.
A unique feature is user management via RFID, which provides safe and easy data entry as an alternative to traditional barcode reading and pen. A scanner can still be selected. Like all HÜRNER CNC‑ systems, the machine has a USB‑ interface for downloading welding data as PDF (short or extended report) or in HÜRNER DataWork Professional format. With the WeldTrace‑ app, which supports QR‑ encoding of label tags, full traceability of welding‑ and project data – is ensured even many years after the task.
